Get 'er done
I'm trying a different strategy for my 100DaysToOffload blog posts.
Instead of starting a post after work (which can sometimes be pretty late), I'm starting one in the morning and leaving it open throughout the day. That way I can add on to it as I go, incorporating new thoughts as they come, and re-reading and editing if needed. Whatever I have by the end of the day is what I publish.
Watching my daughter grow has been one of the most interesting experiences of my life. This morning, I gave her some pieces of fruit for her breakfast, and I watched as she struggled to use her tiny fingers to grasp the fruit and eat it. It took her a few tries, but she got it done! It's incredible that just a few months ago she was completely unable to intentionally move her arms, let alone her fingers. No one taught her how to do that. But somehow she's figured it out! It's marvelous how every human who has ever lived has gone through similar processes of learning how to operate in the world. Obviously I knew that human life was miraculous before having a child, but I know that now in a very personal way, not just intellectually.
Everyone's life is precious. Let's live today like that's true!
