Alas, today is the last day of my Thanksgiving break. I’m getting back to blogging (and to work 😢). One more night of relaxing without needing to worry about work. Let’s enjoy it!

If you haven’t watched any of Patrick Boyle’s videos, I highly recommend them. He’s a solid financial reporter, doing a great job of breaking down sometimes complex financial news into understandable content. He’s also hilarious!
I bring him up because he recently published a video about the fintech industry. It’s no surprise that fintech companies are backed by the likes of Marc Andreessen; it’s also no surprise that these companies are failing, and that their failure ultimately affects regular people the most. Working class folks are losing their life savings in these non-insured “apps” that skirt regulations and consumer protections.
